How to Buy USDT on Bybit P2P with VND (Step by Step)
Legal notice: since 1 September 2026, under Decree 284/2026/ND-CP, individuals in Vietnam who trade crypto-assets other than through a provider licensed by the Ministry of Finance can be fined 30–50 million dong. Binance, OKX and Bybit are not licensed in Vietnam. coinglee provides price information for reference only.
Bybit P2P works like the other big P2P markets: Bybit holds the seller’s USDT in escrow, you pay the seller by bank transfer or e-wallet, the seller confirms the money arrived, and the USDT is released to you. What sets Bybit apart is how much it tells you about each advertiser before you order, especially how fast they usually release.
Which exchange is cheapest changes during the day. Check the live board or the Bybit P2P page before you order.
Before you start
- Complete identity verification in the Bybit app with your chip ID (CCCD) or passport and a face scan. P2P isn’t available without it.
- Turn on 2FA and set up the security checks Bybit asks for.
- Add a payment method in your own name in the P2P settings: bank transfer, MoMo, ZaloPay or Viettel Money. The name must match your Bybit verification.
- Check your bank’s limits. Online transfers over 10 million dong per transaction, or 20 million per day, need face authentication in the banking app.
Step 1: Open P2P and filter
In the Bybit app, open P2P Trading from the home screen or from Buy crypto. Choose Buy, USDT and VND.
- Enter the amount you want to spend so only offers that accept it remain.
- Filter by payment method. Bybit’s VND market has bank transfer plus MoMo, ZaloPay and Viettel Money. coinglee tracks Bybit prices for each one on the Bybit P2P page.
- Turn on verified advertisers only if you’re buying a larger amount.
Step 2: Read the advertiser stats
Bybit shows more about each advertiser than most exchanges. Tap the advertiser’s name to see their profile.
| Stat | Why it matters | Good sign |
|---|---|---|
| Orders (30 days) | Activity right now | 50+ (coinglee’s threshold) |
| Completion rate (30 days) | How often their orders finish | 95% or higher |
| Average release time | How long you’ll wait after paying | A few minutes |
| Average payment time | How long their buyers take to pay | Not important for you as a buyer |
| Verified advertiser badge | Extra checks and a deposit | Nice to have, not enough on its own |
Because Bybit publishes release times, the Speed column in coinglee’s offers table shows them for Bybit offers. Use it to compare sellers before you open the app.

Step 3: Place the order and pay
- Open the offer, check the price, limits and payment window, enter the amount and tap Buy.
- Read the advertiser’s terms in the order. Some refuse certain banks or ask for a specific transfer note. If you can’t follow them, cancel now, before paying.
- Pay the exact amount to the exact account shown in the order, from your own account, before the timer ends.
- Tap Payment completed (or similar). Only tap it after the money has actually left your account.
Step 4: Receive the USDT
When the advertiser confirms, the USDT arrives in your Funding account. Move it to your Unified Trading account to trade, or withdraw it. See which USDT network to use.
Fees and the real cost
Bybit doesn’t currently charge a fee to take an existing P2P offer, so the price is what you pay. The hidden cost is the spread between the best buying and selling price, which is what you’d lose turning USDT straight back into dong. The converter shows today’s numbers. Policies change, so check the fee details in the app.
If the seller doesn’t release
- Send your transfer receipt in the order chat.
- Wait for the payment window to end. Many advertisers release within their average time.
- Tap Appeal, choose the reason and upload the receipt and your bank’s transaction details.
- Keep your phone nearby. Bybit support may ask for more evidence.
Never cancel an order after you’ve paid. That tells Bybit you didn’t pay and returns the USDT to the seller.

| Release timing in coinglee’s public data | Last-online time, not a release duration | Public release duration not obtained by coinglee | Average release duration and payment time |

Common questions
Is a verified advertiser always safe? No badge replaces your own checks: stay in the order, pay from your own account and never mark paid before paying.
Can I buy small amounts? Yes, but many advertisers have minimums of 500,000–1,000,000 dong or more. Enter your amount to filter.
